Opening night!

It’s opening night! When I first looked over the role of Fidés my eyes might have popped out of my head a bit!😳🤯🤪Pauline Viardot, the three octave singing, opera mega-star of her day, premiered the role, and Meyerbeer wrote it specially with her talents in mind. But the amazing thing about having a Fest position here in Linz is that it has expanded my artistic boundaries and with it, my own perception of my limits. It’s been a journey, but now I can really sing this, and that discovery has been thrilling. Toi toi toi to all my amazing colleagues as we bring this underperformed opera to life!!
